her car crashed into a tree on Teesside. It happened when the Fiat Punto, driven by 18-year-old Caroline White, left the carriageway on the A689 at Hartlepool.
She was cut from the vehicle by firefighters and airlifted to Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital with serious head injuries.
